1. Colonel Nathan1 Horton (#31033) was born in Chester, Nj 25 Feb 1757. Colonel died 22 Jul 1824 in Nc, at 67 years of age.

He married Elizabeth Eagles 10 Jul 1783. (Elizabeth Eagles is #31032.) Elizabeth was born 1 Dec 1766. Elizabeth was the daughter of John Eagles. Elizabeth died 19 May 1854 at 87 years of age. At 17 years of age Elizabeth became the mother of Hannah Horton in Nj, 15 Oct 1784. At 19 years of age Elizabeth became the mother of General William Horton in Nc, 15 Aug 1786. At 22 years of age Elizabeth became the mother of James Horton 28 Feb 1789. At 25 years of age Elizabeth became the mother of Major David Eagles Horton in Nc, 5 May 1792. At 27 years of age Elizabeth became the mother of Phineas Horton in Nc, 9 Jan 1794. At 28 years of age Elizabeth became the mother of Sarah Horton 9 Sep 1795. At 33 years of age Elizabeth became the mother of John Horton 11 Jun 1800. At 36 years of age Elizabeth became the mother of Elizabeth Horton 15 Sep 1803. At 39 years of age Elizabeth became the mother of Jonathan Horton 26 Feb 1806.

At 27 years of age Colonel became the father of Hannah Horton in Nj, 15 Oct 1784. At 29 years of age Colonel became the father of General William Horton in Nc, 15 Aug 1786. At 32 years of age Colonel became the father of James Horton 28 Feb 1789. At 35 years of age Colonel became the father of Major David Eagles Horton in Nc, 5 May 1792. At 36 years of age Colonel became the father of Phineas Horton in Nc, 9 Jan 1794. At 38 years of age Colonel became the father of Sarah Horton 9 Sep 1795. At 43 years of age Colonel became the father of John Horton 11 Jun 1800. At 46 years of age Colonel became the father of Elizabeth Horton 15 Sep 1803. At 49 years of age Colonel became the father of Jonathan Horton 26 Feb 1806. Nathan and Elizabeth moved to North Carolina after their marriage. Brigadier General, 9th Brigade, NC Militia and several times in the legislature about 1800. Ashe County was formed from Wilkes County in 1799 and Nathan represented Ashe Co. , in the House of Commons in 1800 and in the Senate in 1805 and 1806.

Colonel Nathan Horton and Elizabeth Eagles had the following children:

child 6 v. Phineas Horton (#31087) was born in Nc 9 Jan 1794.

child 7 vi. Sarah Horton (#32323) was born 9 Sep 1795.

child 8 vii. John Horton (#32324) was born 11 Jun 1800.

child 9 viii. Elizabeth Horton (#32325) was born 15 Sep 1803.

child 10 ix. Jonathan Horton (#32326) was born 26 Feb 1806.
