Ruby and Dave lived at 5142 Attleboro St., Jacksonville, Florida until they moved into Wesley Woods Retirement Home in May 1996/7. Last year they moved from independent living to assisted living. Dave lived to be nearly ninety years old . Ann said that Dave's sister, Gertrude, is living alone in their house. (904-387-3354) Ruby and Marcell were raised by their grandparents, Abe and Fannie Isbell. They told them their father was dead. When she was in grade school her great Uncle George asked her when she had heard from her Daddy. Abe and Fannie then told the m he was living, but thought it would be easier on them not to know. Ruby remembers her mother with fondness, saying she was very pretty. They didn't see her much, Marcell was closer to her. One time when they were young Abe put them on a trai n to Nashville so they could visit their mother. She was real sweet to them. Ruby said she and Ann, Abe's youngest daughter, went to school together. She graduated from Mortimer Jordan High School in Morris. Ruby and her brother have not kept in close touch. She doesn't know where he is living. She got a Christmas card from a woman in Columbia that she will try to find. She will see what else she can find. Call her Monday the 7th. Called Rub y back. She had talked to her daughter yesterday and they decided they didn't want to have anything to do with this. It must be the daughter because Ruby actually sounded sort of excited and pleased to be talking to someone related to her. Abe took Ann and Ruby, when they were just kids, to Sulligent to visit his sister and her husband. Susie and Dick Mixon? They lived in a two story which impressed the children. Ruby had heard of the Mixons. She and Dave lived in Daytona Beach while the children were growing up. She said they still own a house there. Juanita said that Dave really pampered Ruby. She thought a lot of Dave; said he was a very nice man. Ruby had been to the doctor today (3 Sep 1998). She has a pacemaker.

child + 3 ii. Marcell Lee Goss was born 8 Aug 1915.
