Original became the mother of Robert Birdwell before 1745. Original became the mother of Betty Birdwell before 1750. Original became the mother of Margaret Birdwell before 1750. Original became the mother of Samuel Birdwell before 1753.

Original became the father of George Birdwell, Sr. in Stafford Co., Va, abt 1720-21. Original became the father of John Birdwell before 1738. Original became the father of Isaac Birdwell before 1740. Original became the father of Elizabeth Birdwell before 1740. Original became the father of Robert Birdwell before 1745. Original became the father of Betty Birdwell before 1750. Little is known about him some think his name was Benjamine We are not sure of his first name nor of his wife's name. it is believed that he came to Stafford County Va. with his brother from England, his brother went elsewhere, their fathe r is believed to have come from Holland to Staffordshire England and married, changed his name from Vogelveld or Vogelwall to Birdwell in the early 1600's Settled on Potomac, North Stafford County, Va.

TN deed book #2 page 519 19 Mar 1791 shows Deed of Warranty from Patrick Shealds/Shie lds of Sullivan Co. in the Territory South of the River Ohio to Robert Birdwell of the same place "L30 current money of VA for 50 Acres in Sullivan Co., on the Clear Forks of Horse Creek. Beg. at said Shields Corner on the survey that said Shield s formerly lived on & also on John McFarlin's line Adj. Joseph Smith. Sullivan Co. TN Deed Book #2 Page 54517

Nov. 1790 shows Land Grant No. 951 to Robert "Burdwill" 50 Shillings for every 100 acres given 200 acres in Sullivan Co., NC on Clear Creek waters adj.; James Smith & John McFarlin. Info about 2nd marriage to JaneMcDonald supplied by Robert Arnol d Weeks in 1987 (unable to document) Sullivan Co.TN Deed Book 6 pg 125 on 5 Nov. 1810 Robert Birdwell deeded 50 Acres to John Chester.
